U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation Recognizes Partners in Progress Initiative
Yesterday, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation named the Citi Foundation as the winner of a 2015 Corporate Citizenship Award in the category of Best Community Improvement Program for the Partners in Progress (PIP) initiative. The Citi Foundation, which has been working in partnership with the Low Income Investment Fund, was recognized for its support of 14 organizations that are confronting “complex socio-economic challenges” in 10 U.S. cities.
“We are honored to receive this recognition for our efforts to catalyze progress in cities across the U.S., and support leading community-based organizations that are creating more equitable neighborhoods,” said Brandee McHale, President of the Citi Foundation. “At the Citi Foundation, we continue to deepen our understanding of what works to better our communities and we appreciate the opportunity to share what we are learning with our colleagues across corporate philanthropy.”
